“What have you done for your people today”
- Dr Julian Richardson, Co-founder of Marcus Bookstore
“For my people standing staring trying to fashion a better way from confusion, from hypocrisy and misunderstanding, trying to fashion a world that will hold all the people, all the faces, all the adams’ and eves’ and their countless generations”
- Margaret Walker “For My People”
The Vision.
I envision a future where black owned firms are afforded more equity in those resources available to all firms so that they may wield their economic power in closing the wealth gap. I believe that in diminishing the wealth gap, we will diminish the capacity for any system that subjugates one group of people over another. Only there, will we all stand as equals.
The Mission.
My purpose is to foster black entrepreneurship through finance and business consulting. Through consulting and coaching on sustainable business practices and financial operations, I aim to augment black firms with higher retained earnings, access to necessary resources and a sustainable business model. I value service, community and entrepreneurship above all else.
The Values.
Community. Our communities are powerful resources and must be wielded as such. They hold us in the space by which we can be successful.
Entrepreneurship. The process by which folks combine resources to create greater resources. This idea must be fostered in we are to end systematic undercapitalization
Service. Anything worth doing, is worth doing to perfection. Holding ourselves to high standards is critical in our communities ability to hold us accountable.
